"It is a joy to be hidden but a disaster not to be found." -- D.W. Winnicott
There´s so much to explore in this quote. I love quotes to be explored and investigated. See beyond the letters, beyond the first meaning.
I wanna hide my disasters and find joy in my moments. The only joy I would keep would be the woman “Mary Jane Nadine” on facebook if I could have had the deal. Was great.
At the moment, even though I don´t want to find my disasters they are just in a big eruption in this vulcano called life.
Everybody is able to see, to feel, to suffer with me. The love is the only protection and the only rock which will stand still and solid and hard and forever.
I like the depth of this quote and the meaning I’ve drawn from it. Those who don’t want to be found can stay hidden and happy (joy). Those who want to be found and can’t be, may find it disastrous to both themselves and the ones they affect or could have affected and never had the chance. Donald Woods W. is an interesting character that definitely merits a more in-depth look for me. I know of his Ideas of the true self and false self (which could take this quote in an entirely different direction) but little more other than his interest in helping young people “come out of their shells” so to speak. I will definitely be checking this one out more thoroughly. Thanks for the good thoughts and new material to check out Alanis!!! Me likey.
