I’m a bit into it, maybe 20 mnutes. SO smiles, so laughter, so silence tossed in.
So “stetching (your) mouth to let those big words come right out”. Manifestability?
found this from Abraham…
“Get so fixated on what you want, that you drown out any vibration or reverberation that has anything to do with what you do not want.” — Abraham
often what i do not want (push away) is actually in my heart of hearts what i do want more than all!
so then?
be back,
luv, eL
“spiral” discussion and “interdependence” (all relations? C. of Life, mother~earth father~sky)to settling among cerebral intellectualisms, so this is New Yawk. henry miller called NYC the ‘air-conditioned nightmare’. Thanks god for the nightmare today, eh? intense heat may help us spiral back! knockknock? who’s there?
~~~Spiral, can’t wait to experience it.
spiral as headspin…blackwhole
does your body tell you to “pay atention” to a thought or feeling or generalization by giving you subtle whispery signals?
my left leg tingles in a spot about a foot long, halfway between knee and ankle. a louder “call” comes to me with dizziness for short duration or longer sometimes and i do not feel sick–blessed!
The best interview until now
was a very interesting chat! Nice hearing from Alanis again and again. Waiting for the concerts to come!!!
Good Day Alanis,
Wow! Excellent interview! Alanis, you really articulate your thoughts so eloquently and quickly. Good Luck On Tour!
Au Revoir…………
Socrates you can wait, next fall American Tour!!!
You are right, she really does how to express herself. Amazing interview and also Mr. Pareles did well.
Good Day Debora, North American Tour(YEAH!)….And my guess is that Alanis will have a South American Tour also. I HOPE that Alanis plays Germain Arena Right here in Estero, Florida!……..
does know how. Jeezz all these translations…:-)
Thank you for this interview. So full.
So true what you say about attachment-needs. It is so important to concentrate on our childrens-needs and pay attention to them. I think that this ‘new thing’ where both parents work, and bring their children to daycare is the root of big problems in the future. Children do need the attachment so much, nourishment,connection and intimacy. It is the heart and innerchild which should be listened to so much more. It will make the world a better place. It seems like you are doing a great job with Ever.
You song Simple Together is one of my favorites. It reaches a certain painful place and i cannot listen to it often. When i do listen to it i get emotional.
Jon pareles is so respectful, i love the way he is, he asks the right questions and gives so much room and freedom for Alanis to be herself and say what she wants.
I love the way Alanis is ‘in the moment’,
she seems really balanced.
What you(Alanis) say about the third person in a conversation, the global person, the universe that joins in the conversation between two people is so interesting. Something else that is more important then one person individually, that becomes palpable when you are in a dialog with someone. <3
You are really doing so much for the world by being so in touch with your soul, and searching for yourself beyond the ego. I am so grateful for that.
I can't wait for your album and your new songs.
X
And i am really looking forward to seeing you on tour!!
Hey ~
she is is smart but she jokes somewhat to control her nerves & thoughts as she cannot be herself totally in front of an audience/camera.
what sins has she done?
Daniel Siegel is mentioned. A grasp of who he is and what he’s about might be illuminating for those seriously bent on understanding who =she= is and what =she’s= about (these days). Likewise John Bowlby, Jude Cassidy, Phillip Shaver and Mario Mikulincer on “attachment.”
Also Erik Erikson on child development, and Daniel Stern on “attunement.”
Google “gottman hendrix siegel relationships first” to see what comes up.
Alanis is a =very= serious, very =dedicated= student of human behavior and spirituality. Understandably, most people will not “get” her because they haven’t been down the (many) roads she has been down with her eyelids peeled way back.
Attn naughtmoses:
Which do you think is more important in terms of a branch of study’s importance when applying branches of study in attempts to solve the problems of humanity? (Psychology or Philosophy)?
Good Day Alanis,
Best Wishes For Your First Gig Of Your, “Havoc and Bright Lights”, European Tour!
Au Revoir……..
I forgot to add, “Best Wishes {Tomorrow} For…etc”.
Hey: Good morning all ~~~
A beautiful thunder strom just breezed thru here. Magic. Came in one small approach, one large (within 5 miles), two small and departure now.
Alanis ~ Just finishing James Audlin’s bk, before it had first appeared…
Damn, there was that real plan that i’d be in Birmingham for tonight…not to be i see
I”ll burn some sage, say a prayer for you all around lunch time here. take a deep breath and send that energy
saw my shaman helper friend Frauke last week, friday. helped me to soul retrieve, focusing on the time of the second operation, where i’d be in Rcohester hosp. for thanksgiving day. i was at my bottom spirit and the kindest nurse helped me late that night, just talking and listening. bless her!!
the soul retrieval left me exhausted the next day…layed about on the grass here and there all day. silent, touching momearth.
cloud shapes, blue
sitting up at dark, fireflies
gotta go, peace
What I think doesn’t matter so much here, but I will presume — and push as many chips as I have out on the table — that =she= would answer something like, “It’s not a matter of one or the other.” Because she has a very firm grasp of both dichotomy and dialectics.
naughtmoses, what you think does matter. Psychology is mostly subjective. Philosophy is more inclined to analyze definitions, concepts, in a way that proves, disproves, or continues to attempt to prove or disprove, theories and premises that are more related to the subject of solving humanity’s problems. Psychology doesn’t usually venture into the realm of a discussion about how to solve humanity’s problems.
***I DO BELIEVE THAT ALANIS’ CONCERT IS TAKING PLACE RIGHT NOW…………***……………
Hey There? Havin’ Fun? Being back on stage in UK as a new ever-changing you…onto #2. Soundcheckcheck.
Be sayin a wee prayer around 2 for you all and for your 8pm start. can’t hurt, eh?
This was a great interview. I love how she was such an open book. What a great person.
A great interview–I finally found a minute to watch in entirety-
Love the comment about the ‘wink’ between you and your fanbase. What a nice way to see your relationship w/ your fans–love it!!
It’s true–it is a connection for sure.
One just doesn’t quite get that wink w/ Madonna or Rhianna, etc, despite enjoying listening/dancing/working out to their music… there is so much to be said about the depth.
Last, your thoughts on attachment parenting and the neurobiology of addictions, craving to fill voids w/ drugs, etc as adults when early needs aren’t met…
All sooooo important and so happy to hear it come to mainstream thought. Really important to shaping how the future looks for our world–it starts w/ good, hands-on parenting for sure.
