Good Day Alanis, ….in your, “note to self”, section: “natural selection process”? Are you using that phrase in terms of darwinism? Is it a kind of personal evolution? Or are you actively affecting the changes in the physical traits of a species? (just kidding with the last question) ……..in regards to your, “revelation”, section, That IS Good News! sensitivity has its pros and cons…………..one of the cons being, “taking things personally”, especially when the situation isn’t about someone in a personal way.

Good Day Pitanga! Long time no speak/post………….Unfortunately, the closest that Alanis will be to where I live is Atlanta (about a 9 hour drive). I’m hoping that Alanis will have a second leg of the North American Tour added in the way that a second European leg was added……How are you?
@socrates82000 that’s a pitty! your country is just too huge, and og course it is not simple to drive 9 hours to the next concert. She is coming back to Europe as you said and I can see her live again
I think there is big chance that she will do more concerts in north america next year! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!
Thanks Pitanga! I’m hoping that Alanis will do at least one show in Southwest Florida if there’s a second leg of her North American Tour. There are some really nice venues in Southwest Florida (Barbara B. Mann Center For The Performing Arts, Germain Arena, several others…………..) Have fun when you get to see Alanis live again in Europe!

me and alanis share so many of the same thoughts, it is an interesting comment, i can think of ever challenging isn`t she!
she could mean several things in one,
my gut thought is that she means its our destiny to be shaped by this process, but does it include god or (our higher god part self) is involved in shaping our destiny everyday as is my belief

michael2: Years ago, there was something called the Alanis Morissette Mailing List (AMML) which I had the distinct honor of managing for a time. It was a worldwide mensa of about 300 members posting all manner of Alanis-inspired revelations as we all trudged up the spiritual mountain behind her in the JLP “intellectual intercourse” era. Stuff like this, for example:
“The non-authoritarian, charismatic method-rejecting, post-modern cleric believes in both biblical myth & fantasy… and scientific rational-empiricism, even though they are — at their fundaments — mutually contradictory.
“The ‘middle of the road’ cleric of the millennial era can do so because he or she has a mind (and an hemispherically divided brain) that is at least mildly borderline-organized into
mutually discrete compartments of core belief / value / ideal / assumption / conviction / rule / code / law / etc. guiding thoroughly opposing appraisal / consideration / evaluation / interpretation / assessment / analysis / judgement of current events in the environment.
“And to them, this seems utterly and completely normal because the unconscious acceptance of this borderline organization is so widespread now that probably 95% of the general population thinks this way.
“It is as though they are putting piles of betting chips on the red and black squares of the roulette table (of life) (and death) to cover their opposing bets.”
attn naughtmoses, I hope that it is ok if I comment, since it’s so thought provoking, deep, and intellectual, I just can’t pass up the opportunity…………Regarding the first quote: There are many people that believe in God (it applies to various people believing in various faiths) that also believe/acknowledge scientific rational empiricism. There are certain situations/stories/scriptures of the Hebrew Bible that seem to be contradicted by scientific discoveries, but, what we must take into account is the stage of development (in terms of science) that humanity had when the scriptures were imparted to the prophets of the Hebrew Bible, supposedly, by God. If God were to impart the actual scientific specifics regarding the development of life on Earth to the prophets, and the prophets then imparted those specifics to humanity, the prophets probably would’ve been executed or stoned to death. The scriptures of the Hebrew Bible which seem to be contradicted by science might have been imparted in such a manner by God because humanity wasn’t ready at the time to fully understand and accept the Truth because humanity wasn’t ready in terms of its scientific knowledge…….therefore……….”biblical myth & fantasy” might not be myth or fantasy because God had to impart his word to the people in a way that they could handle it……therefore……..”scientific rational-emmpiricism”, might be compatible with God and God’s word if God were able to impart his word as it really is. humanity, possibly, is now scientifically able to understand and handle it in terms of its real essence………
attn again naughtmoses, regarding the second quote: It’s quite convoluted to come to the conclusions that are sttated in that quote. Not all people of the millennial era have brains that are not able to have both hemispheres work together to properly process thoughts (“hemispherically divided brain”). human ability in terms of brain activity and development is diverse. There are two hemispheres of the brain, but how they work and interact isn’t the same for all people. The, “mutually discrete compartments of core belief”, and, “guiding thoroughly opposing”, concepts and conclusions/statements, are very complex and too convoluted to define and prove in terms of accuracy and validity.

I am slightly encouraged heareading you are beginning to take things less oersonal. Natural selection might be one reason I’d have called to you abd do not regret my telling my mom I wanted to know and love you, although I am rather convinced my mom merely beleives Zthe world be a better place if I hsd that ‘hekpmeet’ and mulptiplied. That So I heard what I heard however separated from reality a fa present and former model would have beleive, I liked think I could fill appropriate roles to my gifts and enjoy natural envelopements from within which climax can give way into high couples or larger population impersonal bride evnveelopement well, l.. I knw we cannot have this thought at the same time your countiiy’s sunset is eleven minutes later thanminey peninsula’s.
