Here in this house where nostalgia lives
I sit still not knowing for sure
If this storm is only happening out there
Or if it has also flooded everything in here
And I ask myself if it will go away
This pain that comes and makes me its home
And my heart suffers in its unintentional beating
And I do not want to sit still anymore
Here sitting with eyes wide open
As all the white walls take the colour away from me
And take away all my memories
Of the beautiful colours of our love
I am getting tired and my eyes are closing
Tears are falling to water
All this white I am pulling out
And I want to paint with red
My house that was so empty
In my chest no longer is
My heart will get bright red
To bring life back home
I’m sitting with eyes closed
And I do not want to worry anymore
If I sleep or if I have a dream
Life in there will wake me
