The entire project, which will be completed prior to 2010, will produce gasoline, diesel oil and other petrochemical byproducts including naphtha. However, the cost of the expansion project has not been released. In April, China signed an agreement with Russia to purchase about 15 million tons of crude oil every year beginning in 2011. Last year, China imported 11.6 million tons of crude oil from Russia, a year-on-year decline of 20%, sources reported.
