Lyrics are my life. Your lyrics have enhanced, changed, and mended my life for the better! I cherish them.

I would love lyrics to non-album songs, especially Polyanna Flower. Still loving that song.
So many songs MIA on this list! Are there complete works on the way?
Alanis is the best singer in the world!!!

Alanis – Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (esp tracks #10, 11, 12) is my all-time favorite album! When I was a girl of 17 in Cornwall Ontario, that album held my visionary heart floating just above the crushing pressure of material society – which my flowy self has never fit into. A decade later – I’m still uncovering the wisdom in your words. <3 Love and joy to you and yours. Be well, Sarah

Lyrical genius. I particularly love “Flavors of Entanglement.”
Alanis talk to me with each of her lyrics, I always feel touched and share of the same ideas. But it´s not only the subjects Alanis writes about, she has in addition such a special, sophisticated way to express herself.
I wonder where are her first and second album… Where’s 1991 Alanis, and 1992 Now is the time… Those are great albums too…
i LOVE ‘into a king’
Absolutely. These songs represent the balance between the personal and spiritual. I know I have only sixteen years, but this great artist has made me grow as a person much more than anyone else. Has a voice that causes euphoria, happiness, melancholy, anger, sorrow, power, strength and hope. Thanks to her I have a wider range of musical tastes, such as ethnic music, which previously was not attractive. His lyrics remind me back to the good and the light of tomorrow, enabling more positive about my future. This woman has been the soundtrack of the movie in my entire life, including my partner that I love and which I hope to spend my whole life. May God bless this beautiful artist, who has filled with happiness millions of hearts around the world, and I’m sure is also a wonderful person. Greetings from Canary Islands! Xoxoxoxoxoxo (L)
hands clean has recently been very relevant in my life. i cannot stop listening to it
Love your music since ever! Would be great if you would come back on tour to Germany one day

HER
She’s got eyes,
the same colour as her hair.
Her hairs,
as long as her body,
and her body is a smooth,
as her attitude.
She’s got amazing lips.
You’ll want to hear what comes out of em.
And her petite feet,
Its amazing where they’ve been.
She stands out in a crowd,
and the crowd stands for her.
She’s alive,
and she makes the world pretty.
To Alanis` most of a poem (I wrote a loooong time ago) about you:) xo
This is an old poem I wrote for Alanis

yikes` thought I deleted previous ones`sorry`!!
I love your music cannot wait until the next album.
i forgot a couple lines,
I spread them across the websit:)
31 songs recorded for the new record?!?! can we expect to see a follow up album with some of the ones who dont make it to the main album? kind of like “Feast on Scraps” to “Under Rug Swept”? It be awesome to get a good 17 songs (like SFIJ) in the main record, an extra 4-5 on the deluxe edition and maybe 9-10 on a follow up
that should give them all a home ^_^
<3 ya A.M
Some of my favourite lyrics are “Perfect” and “Your House”. I believe your lyrics achieve greater development when they restrain from being autobiographical, or expand into a greater domain other than yourself. Here is a challenge, try writing a lyric without the subject pronoun “I”. Anyway I totally love most of your song, and I can wait to hear your next album! Cheers
The Song “Break” from your Flavours of Entanglement has not been mentioned. I believe it deserves a lot of credit, that song totally rocks. I would love to hear you begin a show with that song.
i own every single song on this lyrics page and then some. i very proud to say!!!
“and don’t be surprised if I love you for all that you are, I couldn’t help it, it’s all your fault.” Okay!!! Better you than that Erica skank.
What can I say? No one can do the things you do!! What would music be without the Great Alanis!!
Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie was a great album 17 songs!!!!!!! Amazing. India inspired the donation
I ran across something in Jiddu Krishnamurti’s work that seems to me to explain what she writes and why she writes it (she may disagree, of course, but…): “How do I free myself from the culture in which I was born? First I must be aware that I am conditioned… To be so aware means that I am not trying to go beyond the conditioning, not trying to be free of it. I must see it as it actually is, not bring in another conditioning. I must see it as it actually is: not bring in another element, such as: wanting to be free of it, because that is an escape from actuality. I must be aware. I must be aware of what actually is without any choice.” When I read and listen to her, I see one with a passion to know what is about herself and the world, and to convey that awareness to others sufficiently prepared to receive it because they, like her, can “be aware of what actually is without choice.”
please…put the lyrics of “tantra”, “no”, “permission”, “jeckyll anda hyde”, “will you be my girlfriend”, “guru”…they are great songs…
