One of my Favorite songs! It touches the soul in a profound way like many of your songs do Alanis. Loved it so much that I’m learning to play it on my acoustic just so I can sing it in those moments when I need to be centered. I know I can’t do the song as brilliantly as you, but that’s not the point anyways, is it? One thing I love about your songs is that perfection is not a requirement and much beauty is to be found in imperfection!
Which is the message of many of your songs..
This song remind me of ‘Gracias a la vida’ (thank you to life) from Violeta Parra. Its so easy to ignore and so noble to thanks. Thank you to life who has gave me so much.
